Paramount Skydance Plans to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount will initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting about 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August valued at $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are expected, with the company aiming to reveal full details in its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles by early November.

By December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
