In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.

The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
